The spot where broken pottery and glass from the former Clarendon Springs Hotel was discarded was found.  A significant amount of these items were generously donated to the historical society by Lynne Barton. 

The cover photo is of an Ironstone China dish fragment made by Cockson & Seddom in England between March 1876 when the firm was formed and March 1878 when it was dissolved. 

The photos below are of:

An Ironstone China dish fragment made in England by J & G Meakin sometime in the 1851 - 1889 period.

A Portobello Pottery bottle fragment made by Murray & Buchan in Scotland in the 1867 - 1876 period.

A fragment from what was a shallow oblong dish that would have been made specifically for the hotel.  Perhaps the finding of the other half of this dish will allow a more specific identification.
