One of the Tories in Clarendon was Hazelton Spencer (1757 - 1813).  He along with his father Benjamin (1736 - 1777) and relatives Jeremiah Spencer (1742 - 1813) and Barnard Spencer had their Clarendon property confiscated.  Hazelton went on to be an acclaimed leader in Ontario as outlined in the attached two narratives found here and here.

Information on all 30 Tories who had their property confiscated in Clarendon can be seen in the Tory Prisoners entry in this People collection.

The cover photo is a painting Tory Refugees by Howard Pyle (1853 - 1911).
