Who might the GC (or JC) indicated by the monogram on this 1808 spoon have been?  If this was a Congdon family heirloom that was brought to the farm in 1856 when the family bought it three possibilities are Joseph (1807-1872), his brother George Jr. (1792-1815), and their father George Sr. (1766-1842).  Regardless it would been handed down in the family until such point as it was lost in a field where it remained until found by Phil Mandolare in 2019.

Can anyone more clearly read the monogrammed letters?
