This East Rd property seen on the 1869 map was the home of Henry Hunter Crossman (1823 - 1877) and his family.  The rather hard life that he led and his family are documented in the entry "A History Unearthed, Henry Hunter Crossman" in the Artifacts collection.  The home was not on the 1854 map and thus was presumably built between 1854 and 1869.  What became of it is not known but Henry's story is a major piece of this home's history.

This home was approximately 24' x 20' or about 480 sq. ft. if it was only a single level.  We do not know if there was a second level.

The photos are from 2019 courtesy of Phil Mandolare.
