This Quarterline cellar hole was across the road from the Sardius Smith (1816 - 1888) and Louisa Marsh Smith (1820 - 1892) household that can be seen on the 1854 & 1869 maps.

Below are a couple artifacts found near the cellar hole, a crotal bell and a pin that held a ribbon.  The pin is from an organization founded in 1851 .https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Organisation_of_Good_Templars   The pin is thought to date to the mid to late 1800's.

Based on the dating of the artifacts it is probably more likely that the cellar hole is contemporaneous with the Smith farm.  Not every home was noted on the 1854 & 1869 maps, thus this cellar hole could have been a separate household or it could have been a barn or other outbuilding for the Smith farm.
