The three coins shown in the cover photo were all found at a site on East Street. The 1st coin is a 1786 Vermont Copper. The 2nd coin is a King George II from the 1729 - 1760 period. The 3rd is a King William III from the 1694 - 1701 period. The King William III coin is not broken but rather was cut to make change, a common practice during the colonial era. Shown below is the front and back of another King George II coin found at the site.
