The three coins shown in the cover photo were all found at a site on East Street.  The 1st coin is a 1786 Vermont Copper.  The 2nd coin is a King George II from the 1729 - 1760 period.  The 3rd is a King William III from the 1694 - 1701 period.  The King William III coin is not broken but rather was cut to make change, a common practice during the colonial era.  Shown below is the front and back of another King George II coin found at the site.  At the bottom is the front and back of a King George III coin from 1778.

See also the Cast Musket Balls, East Street Artifacts, and the Buttons @ East Street entries in this collection and the East Street Site entry in the Cellar Hole collection for more items from this site.
