In 2007 GEOARC Inc. of Leicester, Vt applied for a segment of the former Crown Point Road in Clarendon be placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The VT Advisory Council on Historic Preservation approved the nomination but with reservations given there is not any physical evidence of the road remaining in the segment in question. Their approval in part was so as to learn how the National Park Service would treat such an application. It was not approved.
