This site is deep in the woods below Suzy's Peak immediately adjacent to what is being termed an old stagecoach road that was gone prior to the 1854 map being created. It is hypothesized that this structure was a tavern and stagecoach stop. Who lived here and when are not known. The structure is approximately 25' x 38' or about 950 sq. ft. if it was only a single level. The center of the cellar hole has a near perfectly preserved stone base that would have created a platform for a large fireplace above it in the tavern. Like the adjacent barn, this structure was very solidly built.
