Leonard Croft (1851 - 1939) was a civil engineer and surveyor from Clarendon.  In 1916 he drew up plans to relocate a segment of Walker Mountain Rd from just north of Schoolhouse Hill Rd to just south of the intersection with Rt 133, and this plan was implemented.  Today's Doaner Lane is the northernmost segment of the old Walker Mountain Rd.

The original document was too large to photograph in a single segment and have the detail still be readable.  It was thus broken up into 3 segments.
